Steffen Weck is Preident at Food Business Consulting, a full service concept-through-to-commercialization resource. He works with consumer food product companies developing new food products, improving existing food products, and determining new areas for food product growth. Steffen has led the development and commercialization of numerous successful Retail, Food Service and In-Store branded and private label product introductions for many of the top 50 Food manufacturers in the US and Canada. Steffen has more than 20 years of experience in the Food Industry, in both Research and Development and Operations Management with consumer product companies holding management positions with Sara Lee, Vicorp and Einstein Brothers Bagels (a Boston Market concept). Before entering the consulting profession, Steffen spent more than three years as Director of Operations for Einstein Brothers Bagels. His responsibilities have included P&L accountability; strategic planning; business development; new food product / food process development; acquisition analysis; category assessments and competitive analyses; and financial analyses. This experience includes virtually all channels of distribution including grocery, foodservice, retail/in-store bakeries, warehouse clubs, drug/mass merchandisers, and convenience stores.
